Develop U.S. Offshore Resources
An Advocate Testimonial - By Mary Hise
Mary Hise, of Florida, recently shared her story with us via the Energy Nation Facebook page. Here is what she had to say:
After spending over 30 years in the Texas petroleum industry, you really learn a lot! Almost everything you touch is a byproduct of oil and gas. Not just the gasoline you use―but the entire car. Think plastic, for example. We have years of reserves in the USA & Canada, so why are we importing? Drilling a well, pumping it to refineries and then to manufacturing facilities who hire workers and other companies. I have been on offshore Gulf rigs―they are safe. Because Florida will not allow offshore drilling, other foreign countries can come in and do “slant hole drilling” and develop all of the valuable resources we so badly need and that would boost our economy tremendously. The petroleum industry is such a huge, diversified business; it takes a lot of education to really understand it. Wise up and DRILL BABY DRILL!!!!! Mary Hise, formerly from Texas, spent years in the petroleum industry, now retired in Florida.
