As a member of the oil and gas industry, I’m standing up for American energy infrastructure now!
America’s energy transit system of pipelines, railways, roads, bridges, waterways, refining facilities, and ports moves oil and gas resources throughout the development and refining process and on to consumers worldwide. A robust energy transit system makes it possible to keep domestic production going strong and energy jobs continually growing.
I support investments in American energy infrastructure because:
- It will help the U.S. maintain its standing as a global energy superpower! To be a lasting player on the world energy stage, the United States must have modern infrastructure. If proper transportation and refinery infrastructure doesn’t exist, production could slow and the U.S. could cede opportunity to other energy-producing nations.
- It can grow our economy! Investing in energy transportation and storage infrastructure could invite $1.15 trillion in new private investments, grow the U.S. economy by $120 billion over the next decade, and support the creation of more than one million American jobs!
- It will keep our industry strong! Maintaining strong production rates and expanding to new production sites where jobs can be created all hinges on infrastructure.
- It can help consumers! For working families to access affordable, American-made energy, there must be a robust energy transit system in place to connect them. It’s vital to update our infrastructure so consumers are not harmed by potential bottlenecks in supply.
Every American benefits from strong U.S. oil and gas development, and energy workers do especially. But to really capitalize on this American energy moment, we must modernize our infrastructure. That’s why I’m standing up for energy infrastructure now!
